A Typical Multi-Element Study Using A Panel Usaero Method

Abstract

A Study on computational analysis of a typical multi-element airfoil using a panel method based is presented. The results are compared with the wind tunnel data obtained by NLR. The model was tested in the NOP Low Speed Tunnel at the Netherlands. It is shown that apart from the intrinsic weakness of the panel method based approach, the computational results gives qualitatively a reasonable agreement with the experimental one.
